This ranks among my favorites. It's big, over 2" by 3". I actually didn't do the drawing on this one. I was searching for some board to do my next project on, and found an abandoned board with a rough sketch on it by some anonymous artist who had tossed it into the scrap heap. I tweaked it a bit, filled in the missing details, and painted over it, producing this. That's also the origin of the border and the soft edge, I feature I wouldn't have put in on my own.
The hair is actually done with a paint that contains soluble nickel as a pigment. Until the acrylic cures, it's actually reasonably toxic and can cause reproductive defects, particularly in men. I normally avoid anything that is not strictly non-toxic, but it was the exact color and translucency I wanted.
